Thank you for all of your hard work, we would not hesitate in recommending you and your services to anyone else. “

WINE-SEARCHER
Cavendish is pleased to announce that it has advised Wine-Searcher on its sale to Flaviar Inc.
Wine-Searcher, which was founded by Martin Brown in 1999, is the world’s largest database of product, price and availability information across the global beverage alcohol market. The business which now has offices in Auckland and London has built a reputation for transparency and independence, providing value to consumers and the trade through unparalleled product information, high-quality content, and proprietary market data & research.
Flaviar Inc., founded in 2012, has a unique position in the fast-growing online alcohol market, providing value to consumers, retailers, and brands through its complementary business divisions.
As part of the Flaviar family, Wine-Searcher, when combined with Flaviar’s other businesses (Barcart and Caskers.com), will see Flaviar as the leading operating system for global bev-alc e-commerce, supporting all existing players in the space in their digital transformation.
The deal team at Cavendish was: Henry Wells (Head of Consumer), Mark Stoddart (Director, M&A) and Ellen Hudson (Senior Associate, M&A).
Henry Wells, Head of Consumer commented:
“We are delighted to have advised Martin, the Brown family and Wine-Searcher on this deal and to have found an excellent new owner in Flaviar Inc. for our client. Wine-Searcher is a fantastic business and I am sure that it will thrive with its new owner.
“This deal adds to our extensive expertise in the wine sector, and most recently the deal where we advised the shareholders of Goedhuis & Co and Waddesdon Wine on their merger, which completed in November this year. I would like to thank the team at Cavendish for their hard work and commitment in achieving this result for our client”.
