finnCap Cavendish, part of finnCap Group plc, has advised the Founders and owners of BDP Holdings Limited (Trading as Bramblecrest) on its recent change in the business’ ownership. The Founders have successfully sold a majority of the business to a newly established Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), while retaining a minority stake and a continued active role in the business.
Bramblecrest was established in 2000 by its two Founders, Hugo Douglas-Pennant and Martyn Bell. The business is the UK’s leading premium outdoor furniture brand, and employs nearly 60 people from its base in the Cotswolds. Bramblecrest furniture is stocked nationwide in over 300 garden centres and retail stores and sold direct to consumers via its website.
